Our Story — Where Language Meets Life

Founded in Sibiu by Dr. Sînziana Șipoș, LIROS was born from one vision: to make learning Romanian not only possible, but personal, transformative, and deeply human. For over a decade, we've helped students from more than 30 countries find their voice in Romanian — whether they're diplomats, professionals, students, or families making Romania their new home. We believe that language learning should be a journey of belonging, not pressure. Our courses are built around real communication, cultural immersion, and individual motivation.

Our Philosophy

We teach Romanian as a living language. That means:

  • Conversation first, grammar in context.
  • Meaning before memorization.
  • Motivation as the key to mastery.

Because when you care about the language, you learn faster, remember more, and connect deeper. That's the heart of the Fusion Method.

Our Philosophy

Our Teachers — Certified. Passionate. Human.

All LIROS teachers are certified specialists in Romanian as a foreign language, and most hold PhDs in Philology or Linguistics. We combine academic excellence with creativity, empathy, and a student-centered approach that adapts to your unique way of learning.
Our teachers don't just explain the language — they unlock it for you.

Our Teachers – The Heart of the Institute

At the Romanian Language Institute of Sibiu, our greatest strength lies in our people. Each teacher brings not only deep academic expertise but also empathy, creativity, and a true passion for guiding students toward real fluency and cultural connection. Together, we form a team united by one belief — that language learning is not just about mastering grammar, but about unlocking human connection and belonging.
